QuAck in the Cloud

In the past few articles we were describing QuAck — a test management system with a flexible tree and related infrastructure for automation, reporting and speeding up UI testing.

Initially QuAck was built as an open-source solution available to anyone at no cost. However not every company wants the burden of maintaining the system on its own. Hence QuAck is now available as a SaaS solution! Yes, that is right. Now you can just go to cloud.testquack.com and start using it right away.

QuAck cloud uses a concept of Organizations. All QuAck projects you are going to create will be under an organisation. Every organisation has 3 free parallel users for a head start. If you need more — it will revolve into as little as 9.95$ user/month flat rate.

Now let’s have a look how organisations work in QuAck. First, you need to register. You can create an account using any email you like. It will be your primary login.

As a next step — you’ll be prompted to create an organisation. Create one — and you become it’s administrator. Later on you can assign other users to an administrative group by adding their emails to the “administrators” field.

Once you’ve created an organisation — you can start adding users into it. As yourself, QuAck users have emails as theirs logins. Just add corresponding emails into the “users” field.

Creating a project will be the next step. As discussed before — project aggregates test cases, test suites, test launches and permissions in one group. You can have as many projects in organisation as you wish.

When you create or edit a project — you can grant permission on it to users in your organisation. Just add their emails (they will be suggested from the ones that are already within organization). Alternatively — select “All Users” group to grant permission on the project to all users in your organisation.

You’ll be granted 3 parallel user sessions for free. If you require more — you can purchase them at the cost of 9.95$ per user per month by contacting the QuAck support.

QuAck cloud is a perfect solution if you want to skip the hassle of maintaining your own infrastructure. It will also suite those who just want to test QuAck prior to start using it as a standalone service.

Try it now. It is free.
